Finally back in the Groove!!!

School started today!

Brandon started his day off slowly getting out of bed but was all ready with a smile when it was time to leave.
Hillary's first day to Sr. Kindergarten is tomorrow- Sept 9th. I made this card for her and will greet her getting off her bus tomorrow. She is excited as it is a new school that she will be attending this year, She will have some of her class mates from last year attending here with the making of some new ones!
The inside of Hillary's card says Good Luck! and 'The future belongs to those who believe in their Dreams!

Can hardly believe that the summer holidays are over for the kids---back to school on Tuesday. Hillary is all pumped up in to going to Sr. Kindergarten , Brandon is looking fowarward to seeing all his friends--for him it is the social part!LOL As for me it is to the Dr. on Tuesday for my medical...the old chest exray and the old squishem machine for the boobs!LOL
Most surprise is that I will miss Hillary`s 5th. birthday party....Her Birthday is the 17th., but her party is on the 19th, and I leave for the Scrappiong trip to Maine on the 18th.----she will not notice with all the people there that I`m not there............LOL But nannie will!
I have to start to get ready and pack for this trip-----fun! WHAT TO PACK AND NOT TO PACK IS TOUGH!!!!

Can you believe that it is almost time for the kids to go back to school. Brandon has been working (hard) for the last few weeks doing some demolition with Larry's cousins husband. He loves knocking out the walls and tearing things apart--its the clean up that goes to the dump that is not much fun....he is learning how to put the walls and studs up. He will be taking a carpenter trade when he does go back to school so this is great experience for him......Hopefully he likes this type of work. He is now under 'Carlos and Associate' and as Larry said he is the A$$ in the associate! LOL

Well I have four more Christmas cards to show and I have to make about 10 more and I'm finished making Christmas cards.....next will be House Mouse Halloween cards LOL

Well we are all done our family vacation for the summer. Larry will have more holidays at a later date. We had fantastic weather. It rained a couple of days but it was just for a little bit during the day or in the evenings. We had Kim Harry and the kids come up to the cottage and we all had a BLAST. Hillary and baby Harry love the water, they were kept very busy all day and by night they were very tired!---LOL and so were we. The cottage will be here and there for Larry now but for me I will be going up more often-- spend time with Larry's cousin Cathy! Scrapbooking is in my get around to it also!

My Lucky Day

Today I was all by myself---->Larry was working, DS went to Wasaga Beach with his girlfriend , so I decided to go to the Scrapping Turtle. Well shopping there I was approached by Lori-----she wanted to know where my side kick was--->(JOY)
She wanted to let Joy know that I WON!!!

I haven't scrapped for a long time......I have been colouring cards LOL, it felt good putting this double LO in one of my books.......-----have to get back into the swing of it again!
Hillary won these ribbons last week for the School's Track and Field. She is very proud that she won First Place in the relay race....'And that I never dropped the Baton!--Nannie (lol)'

I found that I love to colour. I find it very relaxing , when everyone has gone to bed or when I'm all alone!

Larry's Eye Surgery

Yesterday I went with Larry to have his eyes done......It was amazing !!!Larry was very calm, I was a little nervous for him! We drove part way down and then we took the subway.....I watched about five people getting there eyes lased. They have it done in this room that is all glassed off that you can sit and watch.......it was so amazing . It must be such a thrilling job for the Doctors and Nurses there to know that the results of this 15 minute surgery is going to change someones life!
I took all kinds of pictures off Larry getting this done......A LO in progress!LOL His left eye is a little more bruised than his right eye, within 2 weeks they will be normal colour......He has to wear those Funky glasses for a week all day and even in bed at night (its like sleeping with Elvis--I wish!!) Then he has to wear sunglasses out- side. Everyday for the next couple of weeks Larry should notice the changes in his vision -- the doctor said he will have the vision of a Egale ----I said thats fine as long as he doesn't start acting like one and eating rodents!!!
Larry has noticed a change in his vision already today......He could not see a thing without his glasses. He has gone back down today for a checkup with his brother Allen today---that subway ride did me in--another story-like being buried alive for me---major Panic attack!

Hillary's First School Concert!

Well it had to be an all show for this performance.....She wanted mostly her Dad and Uncle 'B' to be there----she knew that Mommy, Nannie and 'G'-Daddy would be there! Well Daddy did go and Uncle 'B' was a surprise.....Brandon was a little upset and wanted to go, so we let him come....Hillary didn't know that he was going to be there......Larry's mother also came which was nice......Well the JK's were the 10th. ones to come out on stage.....Hillary's eyes were wandering all over to try to find us. 'G'Daddy stood up and all you could see was her eyes light up and her say"Look My Uncle 'B' is Here" to her friends sitting beside her! Brandon stood up and gave her a wave.........She gave him a smile and a wave back......They sang two songs...Jesus Loves the Little Children and Jesus Loves Me! It was another Proud Moment for Nannie and 'G' Daddy and also for Great Nana!
Little Harry was very good during the concert.......He thought it was great when everyone clapped for the kids---- he squealed and clapped with joy to join in !

Burnished Velvet Workshop.

These are three of the different ways to make burnished velvet.....


The three of these cards were made with the positive and neg. of die cuts with the tape and glitter! Very cool effect!

Sunday April 19th.

Took a class this after noon - Burnished Velvet Workshop. The results of working with this tape and glitter were amazing............I had no glitter all over me, and the glitter Does NOT come off! It was a lot of fun. I will be putting some of the cards that I made in my gallery here tomorrow!
We had another BBQ for supper tonight........Love this just have to rinse the dishes- place in the dish washer and FINISHED- thanks to Larry for all the prep. and cooking!
Larry had his first baseball practice today, he finished all the taxes tonight ------ so my room is back to being MINE! LOL

Tuesday April 14th.

Had no time to do what I wanted to do today----> go and Scrap today at Crystals................I brought all the bedding down from the cottage and all the wash from home kept me busy all day! But you feel good when everything is all done!
Larry went out after supper tonight and bought a new Ford Truck!

Monday April 13th.

Trying to get every day put back in an orderly fashion.........The last few weeks have just flown by way to fast.
We went to the cottage on the weekend and it was nice and quiet up there.....all the ice is off the bay now so Larry put the dock in on Saturday......The weather was nice. The next time we go up he will put the track and the lifts in for the boats . Larry and Carlos worked on the electric wiring on the fishing boat and Larry will put new carpeting in it when the weather is warmer---->(for the glue to dry.)
We came home early on Easter Sunday as Hillary was going to stay the night as there was no school for her on Monday........Talk about fun! She was up as soon as Larry left for work.....so much for sleeping in.......Kim and Harry invited us to their house for dinner to celebrate Larry and Brandons Birthdays......as if the two haven't had enough BD parties this year already---LOL, but Kim wanted to have a dinner for them with a fruit flan cake. Dinner was Great----BBQ Ribs--->one of Larry's favorites..............We watched Dancing with the Stars, then came home.
Nothing to exciting but Time sure goes by fast when your having fun!

I Had a GREAT Time!!!

The Scrapbook Weekend went Way toooooooo fast.....but I did have a fun time.....Lots and LOTS of laughing and got all FOUR of my LO's done and a couple of cards done.....I had to do SOME Supervising . Every one said that they had a Great time and the shopping was the Best!! Same time next year and I can Hardly Wait----don't want to wish the year away----but I love going away with MY FRIENDS!

Were OFF!!!!!!

Looking forward to this weekend with some Scrap-Happy Friends......................We are off to Syracuse , leaving Friday morning and coming home Sunday......Going to Scrap-- Shop-- Eat--and Lots of Fun and Laughing--with some sleep time too! Hope to get my LO's all done...just the four of them and some stamping images coloured for cards.............

Wednesday

Went and picked up pizza for Hillary to have for her lunch and I picked Kim and I a coffee at Timmies. Met Hillary at her bus stop ...........She was so happy to see me at her bus stop .....she ran to me with her arms wide open....---that makes a persons day----as she tells me 'Your the Best Nannie!' She took my hand not even saying Hi to her mother or brother and came with me---she hopped in the van and her and I went round the corner to Kim's house.....I stayed for just an hour as I still have soooooooo much to do to get ready for Friday! So off the computer now so I can get some LO's done!

Been tuff.......three days with no internet.....not fun

Harry loves vegetables...

Dear little Harry loves his veggies but hates the fruits...for most kids its the other way around......but that is OK because his sister Hillary loves the fruits---LOL
